The use of steam to vaporize the fuel mixture eliminates the need for fans, blowers,
and other electrical components. Burns fuel oil or other light oils such as kerosene
or diesel. Easy to disassemble and adjust from outside the boiler.

HP (in this context) means Horse Power.
(Of course you know that; just being thorough.) It's a unit of power equal to 550
foot-pounds per second
or 735.5 (or 746 -- believe it not, opinions vary)
watts, and is the usual
measure of the amount of work an engine can do.
