Seaworthy, trailerable hull, can be built of plywood or other flat sheet material and amenable to
stitch-and-tape construction.
With a three bladed, 14" x 17" propeller and 600 - 700 engine rpms
(such as our 5HP Compound engine),
this boat is capable of 9 - 10 mph (8 - 10 knots)
This is a boat that can be built in your garage with minimal tools and experience.

HP (in this context) means Horse Power.
(Of course you know that; just being thorough.) It's a unit of power equal to 550
foot-pounds per second
or 735.5 (or 746 -- believe it not, opinions vary)
watts, and is the usual
measure of the amount of work an engine can do.
