This engine has the lowest parts count and is easiest to construct for the do-it-yourselfer.
Most of the engine is constructed from cast iron castings with
a few parts machined from regular steel stock. This engine is suitable for any use where
the higher steam consumption is not important, such as stationary applications; nevertheless,
it can be used to drive a displacement type hull at brisk speeds.

(Of course you know that; just being thorough.) It's a unit of power equal to 550
foot-pounds per second
or 735.5 (or 746 -- believe it not, opinions vary)
watts, and is the usual
measure of the amount of work an engine can do.
